One Lure Wednesday: Lucky John Pilot Crankbait

Got this big crankbait in my Mystery Tackle Box this month. I'm always looking for a crankbait I can fish in a shallow pond. This one worked pretty good.

Close to the bank!?! Looks like this one spot I fish where there isn't much cover out in the middle so the bass would stick to the bank and hide in the weeds or in holes dug out by catfish!! I guess to find shade and stay cool!! The funny thing when I was first going to this spot was it would always scare the 💩 out of me when they would blow up on the bank!!😂

Couple of nice chunks Brian....If you ever come across a lipless suspending cranker that might work reel good in the shallow water!!

Shallow cranks are effective, they fire up inactive fish.

That two foot trench has got to have a water temp of like 85 in texas. I got a small one of those cranks in trout mtb. It worked well for smallies
