An artist who garnered fans from various generations. What an incredible talent. I don’t care who you are… or how old you are; If you’re a listener of music, then I guarantee you know at least one of his songs. Even if it’s only the chorus. I’m thankful for his music because it provided extra beautiful memories I got to share with my mom - or ones that my mom was able to share with me I should say. I don’t have her with me in body any more but in spirit I do, and each time I pull out one of those old vinyl records she played for me as a little girl, she’s with me then as well. Every time a rocket man or Benny comes through a speaker, my mom is right there listening with me. Every time Your Song is sang, I know it’s her song too. So thank you for giving me those wonderful extra memories of a time when she lived, and thank you even more for allowing me the amazing gift of being able to relive those memories with her even though she’s gone. Music really is magical that way. And when the music is as great as yours was - is, it’s more than magical. When it can bring you back in time to a better place. A better World…. It’s surpasses magical and lives on in transcendence.

This cat is so smooth. I had the absolute pleasure and honor to see him live in 2005 during the Peachtree Road tour and he performed over 3 hours almost nonstop. 🙌🏿❤️
