Photoshop polygonal lasso tool step back

Long overdue trick in Photoshop. Many times, I wanted to draw using lasso tools around an object in order to be able to select and then delete everything outside the selection. But as soon as I started drawing and made a mistake, I was supposed to start all over again from the beginning. So, in this video, I'll show you how to undo the steps or take a step back by using shortcut keys. And if you've already read this description instead of watching the video, the trick is to press backspace on windows and delete on mac.

I accidentally turned on polygonal lasso while trying to use the normal lasso and I was terrified because I couldn't figure out how to change tools or get rid of my selection. You have saved me, thank you. 😂

Backspace and backspace with escape is not working for me is there any other way? 😢

How bout if you accidentally double click and the lasso tool completes itself before you're ready? This happens way too much and when I hit backspace it deletes the selection. Infuriating and a big time consumer starting all over
