Not being able to see Edmonton is a definite improvement!

We, as Canadians and Albertans, cannot ignore this any longer. We have to commit more money, resources and manpower into our ability to fight forest fires.

Im just outside of Edmonton, I live in Smoky Lake, I have COPD and I have 2 fans going 24/7 .I m alone all week and this last month, even if i open my clothes dryer, I feel like im choking, I am confined to my bed 20 out of 24 hours a day. Its realky frightening to wake out if your sleep or just try to make a sandwich for yourself without feeling panic. Even trying to shower, most everytime I have to have towels laid all over my bed before I get in because most times I cant breathe well enough to stay in there until I am done. It almost always takes 2 attempts .This smoky smell in my house is almost unbearable. I never open a window or door. My house is old and it is what it is.

Why doesn't the current government focus on putting out the fire rather than arguing Pierre Poilievre telling him to put out the fires and everything else wrong with Canada Put that on the agenda Trudeau

The air in Edmonton is DEADLY right now.. The counts were 300+ according to the Global Air Quality index.. HAZARDOUS..

Air quality. Here in Scarborough Ontario I was fascinated as to how clothes got so dirty. I had, and still have, a dual fan in one of my apartment windows. So I purchased a 10" x 20" x 1" furnace filter and attached it to the window fan casing. It was a perfectly tight fit. Anyhow, it did reduce the air flow down to about 1/3 at best, but despite that, after two months the air filter was pitch black. I was stunned.

When I found this out I immediately began coughing and wheezing as is appropriate for an individual receiving this type of news. I am just glad that this was not a story about gonorrhea.
