Gaslighting GPU Buyers: NVIDIA RTX 3070 Ti Review & Benchmarks

NVIDIA's RTX 3070 Ti does little to help the current situation, especially considering that's silicon that could be pushed lower down the stack. Tested vs. RTX 3070, 3080, RX 6800, etc.


Our review of NVIDIA's RTX 3070 Ti Founders Edition video card looks at performance vs. the RTX 3080 Ti, RTX 3080, RTX 3070, and other cards, like AMD's competing RX 6800, RX 6800 XT, and even lower-down stuff like a 2060 or 1080 Ti. The RTX 3070 Ti benchmarks end up showing that the 3070 Ti is, at best, stagnation, or at worst, a decay in value proposition from the existing 3070 silicon. Unfortunately, NVIDIA has decided to push more expensive cards down the stack because of the current market conditions. This isn't as egregious as the 3080 Ti, sure, but perhaps that's the plan: The 3080 Ti makes this look almost sane by comparison, whereas the 3080 Ti is certifiably insane at $1200.
