Mar.16 -- Xi Jinping is warning that Beijing will go after so-called “platform companies” as China’s tech crackdown widens. The Chinese president is ordering authorities to step up oversight of internet firms, crackdown on monopolies and promote fair competition. Regulators are now said to have their sights on Tencent after clamping down on Jack Ma’s Ant Group Co. Ltd. Bloomberg’s Zheping Huang reports on “Bloomberg Daybreak: Europe.”

Ok. There must be a mole or two they've caught onto. Also they must be losing money because the belt and road initiative has hit some financial problems. Like contracts being re-written to favor the native country not China and get guarantees of staffing by native and not Chinese workers to get quality control back in their hands and not China's.
