La Llorona is the women crying. She drowned her children and when she realized what she had done she drowned herself but because she killed her sons she was stuck between the world of the living and the dead. She is crying because she can’t see her children so anyone she mistakes for her children she will drown until she realizes that person is not her kid

LA LLORNOA I think that’s how it’s spelled so her name was Maria but her husband left her and she drowned her kids she started to grief after what she did she said something in Spanish as she says “my kids” it’s located in Mexico people say don’t go near the rivers
