Logcabinlooms, I had a Starter Bolt Break off in the Engine Block a couple of Years ago. It was a long shank Bolt and the Bolt broke off right behind the Threads. A Mechanic Friend of mine loaned Me a Blue Point Brand (made by Snap On) extractor Kit that had Pilot Bushings, and left hand Drill Bits. It didnt take long and I got the broken Bolt out. Your right Sir, They come in handy.

that's a great drill. I've had mine for 10 years before I had to get it fixed. that's using it almost everyday, plumbing.

Thanks for the tip.  I never knew they made left handed drill bits.  Those angle drills were good for drilling holes in floor joists for plumbing pipes.

Yep, used to by those and cobalt bits, I actually invested in a cp air angle drill, came in real handy when manifold bolts broke on my ford trucks, in some tight spots actually had to use cut down drill bits.

glad you are doing well and got those bolts out . that sort of tight spot can really test a mans skill and patients . what really sucks is when a easy out breaks off then its a pain . hope you have merry Christmas PS. I too have some 35 rem and working on loading some 158 cast wc gas checked going to be interesting to see how they do I'm still learning on the reloading. like to have some advice sometimes if possiable

must have been some vibration with the mounting bracket to the block or were the bolts or one loose maybe.

It's a lot better when a bolt breaks and leaves enough shank to weld a hex nut to it. When they break flush and you start drilling and using easy outs that another can of worms. You are so right lefthand twist drills are the ticket.

Corded drill motor is the way to go.  Battery operated stuff is always either dead when you need it or it runs out half way through; doesn't matter how many volts it has. Good purchase.  You will have that drill motor forever.
