This is one of the best board game guides/ gameplay channels hands down. It is comprehensive and speaks to a beginner rather than shoving things in a "learn in 10 minutes." Great simple sequential explanation. Thank you.

I love how he kept referring to the actual historical people and events! It made this teach so interesting.👍

I don't think I've ever heard a more beautiful explanation for a game.

Really appreciated the historical themes being explained. It felt quite tripy when the peacock fountain in christhurch (nz) was mentioned as it is my home town and I have sat by that very fountain and had coffee and biscuits more than once. I am totally revved about this game now! It's amazing how much board games can make you feel connected to historic subject matter which can otherwise be very dry and sometimes difficult to appreciate the relevance of.

This is my fav game in my collection. The subject matter and artwork pulled me in but the mechanics pushed it over the top!

This intro really helped me feel a connection to the game, even though I’m from the US. I grew up in the heart of US steel and coal country (not to mention historical glass and textile manufacturing), now I’m kind of hoping for a Brass: Pittsburgh.

Really liked the historic aspect of this play through since I know very little of this time period. So it was helpful to get into the theme of the game.

Enjoying the local flavor in this teach. And while I still find some of the rules around some of the resources to be unintuitive and a bit too abstract, I’ll at least remember the rules based on your explanations, I also appreciate that you started off a little broad in scope then got into specifics, as opposed to other videos or the rule book which delves into Building (the most complicated action) right out of the gate.

Whos explaining the game? Is that Martin Wallace or a different Martin? Absolutely excellent narrative and engaging history for the game, btw.
