Stock fish has gone too far this time.

I hate Stockfish is actually a great idea for content, like some of the most ludicrous and counterintuitive engine moves

Made it! Stockfish has informed me of this truth: "Humans don't make good moves, only winning moves against each other."-Mark Pullen

The perfect thing to watch when you feel literally anything or literally nothing. Doesn't matter, it's just the best thing to watch.

Seems to me all stockfish did was make crazy more common. I mean, someone like Morphy knew how to play crazy and we called him great. But that skill was really rare. Now everyone can do it with enough time and a good enough memory.

That first game does make you think that Fischer may have been right when he said chess was becoming a prearranged game of memorization.

About the first game.. Before stockfish era, you also had similar games played that were replaying 25-30 moves of complex theory, with sacrifices etc.. ending with a draw, usually in overanalysed opening lines (in Marshall's gambit for instance).
I still remember one such line by heart in the Najdorf from back when I used to play competition seriously and prepare. And you will see it's even more crazy than that line you just showed... It comes from a correspondance game in the 90ies, an era where computers were still useless. And it was repeated a few times in on the board games here and there I think : 1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 d6 3.d4 cxc4 4.Nxd4 Nf6 5.Nc3 a6 6.Bg5 e6 7.f4 Be7 8.Qf3 Qc7 9.o--o-o Nbd7 10.Bd3 b5 11.Rhe1 Bb7 12.Qg3 b4 13.Nd5 exd5 14.e5 dxe5 15.fxe5 Nh5 16.e6!? Nxg3 17.exf7+ Kxf7 18.Rxe7+ Kg8 19. hxh3! Qxg3 20.Ne6 Qe5 21.Rf1 Nf8 22.Bf5 Bc8 23.Re8 Kf7 24.Re7+ Kg8 25.Re8 Kf7 etc.. draw. And after 14.e5 it's almost forced, even nowadays when checking with stockfish..
Except that SF (and quite probably some GMs before that, I haven't followed the evolution of theory closely) found that black can play for a slightly better endgame with exchange for a pawn if being precise after 22...g6! 23.Nxf8 Qxe7 24.Bxe7 gxf5 25.Rxf5 Re8! 26.Bb4 Bc8! followed by Re4 or by h5 and black gets out of his trapped rook/net issues.

About the 3rd game not quite understanding what you reproach to Stockfish?

You're not "nothing" in chess, you're number 3000 in the world and number 1 in our hearts.

one thing id love to see top players start doing "for fun" is you allow your opponent to make the first two moves for you. Black tells white where he has to move his first pawn, white tells black his first then repeat one more time. That would destroy openings and you'd also have to have some stragety on where you want to move the opponents first two pieces. I think that would be a fun video to watch these top players make.

I too hate stockfish, whenever I think I played a brilliant move it comes out to be a blunder, that's why I can't get above 500 elo!!!!

Disgusting! 27 moves of theory to get to a draw by repetition. High level classical is outrageous - give me the chaos of rapid anytime. Thanks for another great recap!
