Ohio Senate candidates, Republican J.D. Vance and Democrat Rep. Tim Ryan, will face off in their first debate tonight ahead of the midterm elections next month after weeks of negotiations. NBC's Jesse Kirsch reports.

Tim Ryan...a person who is intelligent and has integrity. These are the folks who should be part of the Senate..who have a sense of what it is to collaborate on issues. Dr. Oz is running for personal gain....does not even live in PA. Hershal Walker...stick to the football field. Your ability to do critical thinking is just not there. Rev. Warnock has already proven how successful and admired he is by others in The Senate. I use to live in Ohio and went to school there...please folks in OH

tim ryan, in congress since 2003. votes as instructed by pelosi 100% of the time. if you think the country is on the wrong track why would you vote for someone who is helping drive the train ?

Overall, Tim Ryan has solid plans. Vance just complains and doesn't have all the answers.
