Something I just learned is the dry needling uses different metal needles. They thankfully asked and had to use gold plated ones because I am allergic to nickel which is the main type used. I just always thought they used surgical steel for all needles.

I have Whiplash Syndrome.
My neck muscles are like concrete most of the time.
I can't even lift my neck, turn it, etc.
I'm starting dry needling next Wednesday.
I hope it works. I have been looking at the ground for a couple of years now.
I wanted to start last year but I had other things to take care of.
Hernia surgery, blockages, etc.
I tried physical therapy, which didn't work.
They say my neck muscles are in a constant spasm. They won't release.
Now, I'm finally able to get this done!!

Great informative video! In acupuncture we use various meridian systems! One of these channel systems is called “sinew” or “musculo-tendinous”! These meridians are very broad overlapping sheaths which cover/address the muscles and fascia of the entire body. We address trigger points (which we call “ashi” points) and use a “chiseling” technique akin to your pistoning technique. We also often use e-stim for various meridian systems, sinew or otherwise. I have a herniated disk that sits at the hip and has no spinal fluid left. Ive had steriod injections and ablations and nothing seems to help much. I have an appointment in 2 days to try dry needling to get that muscle to let go and relax. My range of motion is horrible right now.

Works great for about 3 to 4 days on my Achilles .

You can also use a toothpick or sharp tipped object but not breaking the skin. On the trigger point. Or between the pain and the brain. Just gently tap around the point or the painful Area. Again you do not break or scratch the skin. Try it and see if it works for you. Good luck
