my father's brother in the Royal Canadian Air Force was lost on a Lancaster, never to be found. We live near the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum near Toronto, which flies one of only two Lancs still flying - (C)VRA FM213. My father was alive to see its first flight and it was very emotional. I see the plane often and always think of my uncle and the others who failed to return from doing their duty. Bless them all for the life of freedom they gave us.

Just beautiful and majestic....a fine bomber....the brave crews that took the war to their enemy would be impressed to see this amazing bird fly...

Gently flown, grt speed. Engine tone sounds like the Lancs throttling up over the dams, A superb model.

My grandfather was a tail end Charlie in a Lancaster
He got shot down in 1941all his crew escaped thankfully, but he never made it out and my mum was a baby and never knew her father.
Thank you for keeping our glorious history alive.

What a beautiful model. Very realistic in the air and great attention to detail on the build. Probably the best Lancaster model I’ve ever seen.

Excellent model, excellent flight skills. Beautiful landing. My father was a Lancaster pilot. I shed a tear every time I see one. Thankyou.

What a great flying model! G for George, operated by No. 460 Squadron RAAF during World War II. It is now preserved at the Australian War Memorial (AWM), Canberra, Australia.

Outstanding build and did good with all the wind blowing. A very nice machine and sounding cool too. Thanks for posting without music.

In re Mr Hooper's passing, my sincere condolences. I am aware of how close knit aeromodeling communities can be. This magnificent model is part of his legacy.
And WHAT a plane. Stunning in every aspect. My congratulations to all involved.. I bet this one takes a bit of De-rigging and checking over before you can all get your post match pint, which is thoroughly deserved. Beyond impressive. 🌟👍

Wow! It looked like a very tricky takeoff and landing in a very stiff crosswind. I take my hat off to the gentleman, that flew that beautiful Lanc. The only thing missing, was the growl of the Merlin engines. 😊

That's great, my Grandad was a Flight Engineer on one - this really made me smile and fab landing!!

My uncle was a gunner in an Avro Lancaster in WW2 for the RCAF. He had some amazing and horrible stories to tell... which he didn't do often.

Sad to think that one day, RC models like this will be the only Lancasters and other vintage aircraft we'll see in the skies.
