Bring minimum educational qualifications and fix upper age limit at par with Government employees for MP, MLA, ward councilor etc.
RS members election should be based on profession (pro-rata) so that we will have representatives from Farmers, teacher, doctors, engineer, scientist, dancer, music industries, craftsman etc, etc with minimum experience.
Government should be with all party proportionate representatives, and minimum 3 month orientation course before assuming office after election.

I often wonder: why do we demand rigorous qualifications and examinations for roles like District Magistrates or Collectors, but not for those who hold the highest offices, such as Chief Ministers, Prime Ministers, or other Ministers?

When appointing a District Magistrate, we expect them to have deep knowledge of polity, history, geography, economics, and more. Yet, when it comes to our top leaders, there is no formal requirement for them to demonstrate a similar understanding, even though their decisions shape the entire nation.

Shouldn’t we hold our leaders to an even higher standard? If we expect expertise and preparation at the district level, why not at the state or national level? Many of our leaders seem to lack even a basic understanding of the Constitution they are meant to uphold.

This discrepancy seems to be a root cause of many challenges we face today. It’s time to rethink and reform how we choose those who guide our country. Leadership should not just be about politics—it should be about knowledge, vision, and responsibility.
