Even though he never won a ring Patrick's career was still amazing, , coming out of college he wasn't supposed to have any offensive game he was strictly a defensive Force but he came into the NBA and put up 13 consecutive seasons of 20-plus points a game and in the early part of his career he would get up and down the floor and play Above the Rim but after about five or six seasons he developed arthritis in both of his knees which robbed him of his explosiveness so he altered his game to be able to play outside and developed into (at that time) the greatest shooting big man of all time

This doesn't really so him justice even... he was super skilled in the post with an excellent midrange. Of course great sense, and great shotblocking as well. He was the number one prospect when he came in the league, by far.

That dunk on Alonzo Mourning was crazy...One Georgetown center to another. Can you please react to Reggie Miller next. His Pacers had some classic games against Ewing's Knicks

This dude never missed a mid-range jumper in his life. Automatic.

Ewing could do it all. A lot of people dont realize just how great the centers were in the 90's. You have Patrick Ewing who was a great player. Olajawon was insane. David Robinson was insane. Then shaq. Four real skilled 7 footers.

Interesting things about Patrick Ewing: 1)At Georgetown he was known and thought of as an excellent defender. But he came into the NBA and displayed a nice offensive game to go with his great defense. 2)He never got to play with Bernard King. Bernard King led the league in scoring at least once with a 32ppg average but King blew out his knee against the Kings and never played with Ewing. 3) Ewing never played with a good scoring small forward that was in his prime. 4)Not did he have a reliable second option scorer until John Starks and Starks was hot or cold. 4) Essentially the general managers that the Knicks had during Ewing's career did not put the right pieces around him to catapult the team to a championship. Knicks were great defensively but we're abysmal on offensive. I'll never forgive Al Bianchi for trading Rod Strickland. Strick was a point guard that attacked the basket like Kyrie. In fact, Strick and Kyrie's dad played together in the Bronx.

"He connected with his soul" lolol. This video is good but Ewing was really a mid range shooter. Started for the Dream Team. Legend.
