'Have You Ever Wanted To Float Above the Town You Grew Up In?'

Going back to where you’re from– it’s been a tough pill to swallow for me, personally. I’ve found myself in a place in my life where going home instills overwhelming amounts of guilt, nostalgia, and voyeuristic curiosity… all at the same time.

I’ve always wanted to disappear around the ones who could pick me out of a crowd; to observe the way things are without me around. Along with that perspective comes a sense of guilt for not wanting to give old relationships CPR.

I want to be here, but I don’t want to be around.

Here’s a film I’ve made about just that. I hope if you’ve ever felt this way–wherever you’re from… that you may find some forgiving harmony in it.

I still live in the town I grew up in and I want to get out of here so freaking bad!! I don’t have enough money to move out on my own and I don’t know for sure what I want to do with the rest of my life, but I’m about to graduate from college. I’m about to go crazy..
