Mason comes across as a great youngster with the right attitude, temperament and keen to learn. IMO these qualities are rare in young people. I was going to say you're lucky to have him but maybe you should take the credit for his development. Anyway well done.

Hey Clint, Someone said this about a critic…”any fool can criticize, condemn and complain and most fools do”!! — Ben Franklin! I think it’s a hell of a giveaway, the real mechanic receiving them will be tickled to death!! Thanks for the video!

I've actually really enjoyed you guys testing out all the Harbor Freight tools. Makes the whole job feel more down to earth rather than some tool fashion show

Clint…you’re spot on about the haters. Once they flame up & unsub…
You hardly even notice them anymore.👍😎

A lot of people won’t realize how mechanics feel finding a solution to a problem after troubleshooting. Mechanics never stop learning. Thanks for sharing your experiences.

What people don't realize about "American" made products is that most of them have a lot of foreign parts on them. Even American made trucks/cars have TONS of Chinese components. I think it's good to invest small when starting and move up from there. Thanks for showing folks how to do that.

Clint has to be the best one handed mechanic in Indiana 😆
I hope Mason appreciates how lucky he is to be learning from a true master.
I think the most important thing he’s learning, is to think 😊

when i began my "mechanic" (as we were known in those days) career in 1980 i spent $675 at Sears on a craftsman upper and lower tool box, craftsman metric sockets, wrenches, a few pliers, a set of screw drivers, air ratchet and impact. fortunately for a few mos if i needed a tool i didnt own other mechanics would let me borrow one. after that every week i would buy one new tool from Cornwell or Matco. i always felt Snap-on was over priced. im 70 now, still have my tools and any new tools ive purchased over the yrs have all come from Harbor Freight which ive been very happy with.

I think it's very nice of you to give those tools away. Some people just have to make an ass out of themselves. No matter what you do. Keep up the good work.

I love that you show the entire troubleshooting process: rabbit holes, dead ends…there’s something to learn in every false lead. Videos like this help give me the patience to run down mystery problems on my own equipment, and to take the time to do it correctly. Thank you.

It absolutely amazes me how much damage mice (rodents) can cause in this equipment sitting around for years. Watching your videos and Matt from Diesel Creek, he deals with much older equipment at times and he calls them mousedominiums. Proud of Mason for the great young man he is but he has a wonderful teacher. Clint you are spot on with the tool give-a-way and glad the haters have thousands of dollars to spend on tools while us common folk just fix things. Love this channel and all the great work you do and the whole
crew. Absolute joy to watch.

Good explanation on the value of the tools to a young mechanic! I really don’t think about the cost for a young newbie mechanic.

What does it matter if some or all of the tools have some wear on them there FREE to who ever wins them! Great job Clint, Mason’s going to make a good mechanic my hats off to you for teaching the younger generation your skills I’ve know some people who won’t teach because they think only themselves should know things and everyone should beg them for information. I’ve always thought those were some lousy individuals.

Must admit those Osh Kosh trucks are awesome !!! The tools appear to be standing up to your usage so far ... time will tell but somebody will be pleased to get it.

Those dang DDECs...!
As much a curse as a blessing. And it takes an astute mechanic to spot these problems .
Well done!

Clint, when my grandson got out of the Marine Corps he needed some tools to get started in his new job. So, his Dad and Grandpa went Harbor Freight and brought him abot $400 worth of tools. Now 4 years later he has replaced most of them and sold his starer set to a new mechanic in the shop.

Had a similar issue with a New Holland backhoe I rebuilt for a customer, had some cracks in fuel from it sitting, , was sucking air and not meeting the flow the pump required, , new line and some priming, , ran like a champ👍
