Why does Bishop Strickland get disciplined but not Fr. James Martin?

Thank you for doing the exhausting research needed to keep up with all sides of these challenges. I certainly couldn’t, and it would allow people to trap me in corners that I didn’t know how to navigate out of.

True. Mr's Martin and Vigano are big misses. My understanding is Vigano is in hiding while Martin certainly isn't. One seems to have Vatican support (in an official capacity) and one certainly does not.

And it seems like Holy Father would definitely focus on Bishops over individual Priests and leave them to be disciplined by their Bishop. But also such an American-centric view as well. Holy Father has the entire church to think about, not only American Catholic personalities

Any complaint has to be a two- sided story parts and we have think deeply at the two sides and then you yourself wiil make a clear consideration effectively. And then refrain from judging the alleged initiator of the decision. This world in its sinfulness always do these their own ways.

It also makes sense that a bishop is disciplined over a priest because a bishop has larger responsibility and priests should be disciplined by bishops before it escalates to Rome

There seems so much that is not logical in the idea of disciplining or/& dismissing the priests. Either it is guided by whimsy & capricious feelings, or there is no guidance & is motivated by something or someone else at work! I won’t venture a guess, either one or the other is true, & not a true reason for dismissing a bishop or priest. I fear the real reason! Let us all pray it is not insidious!
