what is actually going on, is the this mode turns dsp off, what dsp does is limit the excursion of the main drivers by cutting off very low frequencys, removing it enables subsonic frequency to be sent to the drivers causing big excursion, although you probably wont hear much of it due to the size of the driver its still trying to reproduce them and thats the danger, a song with very low bass might cause a large over excursion and bottom out the woofers causing damage, also dsp is responsible for balancing the sound and giving clarity and quality at high volumes, without it you get a distorted mess.

i use it sometimes at very low volumes on the extreme 2 because i listen to dubstep and sometimes bass drops go beneath the 55hz limit and it sounds wierd when it just cuts off instead of rolling off like a normal speaker would.

I don't know what is happening to mine. I just noticed that the bass isn't as good and now my passive radiators aren't moving as much. It's hardly even moving! It also has distortion when playing loud!

Fun fact: if u turn on "low freq mode" on charge 3 bass is lower 0.0 charge 3 normal mode have more bass than low freq flip 4 and sound is deeper whoch i like and its like 20-30 bucks more only

he peeled off you radiator ? I also have the heat sink removed, but it is not the LOW FREQUENCY MODE that is a factory defect and you have to send the speaker for repair :)

On my flip 4 i put on lfm and the surround from left radiator had a hole but i replaced the radiator

I think low frequency mode is like when u turn the volume down just for own self to hear you still wanna hear the bass bc if its loudits gonna break thats why i keep low frequency mode but i turn it down low

My speaker shut off after a few Minutes showing Red LED but when I connect the charger it shows 4 white lights.
IT never charge past 4 LEDs.

The low frequency mode you all call is just disable internal compressor and corrected EQ, lowpass filter.
