I had one, but it did have a fused plug, maybe a UK requirement. It did have a voltage drop, and you couldn't pull a lot of power through it. I have no idea when happened to it. It was handy for a light or running something small from it.

This lamp shown on the extentioncord box pictures was manufactured by the same company and you could buy it togather with this extention cord. I stil have this cord. bought in the year 2000 and it was used to power a mobie fridge and a fan or an car adapter for my disckman while me and my famyly were gong on holiday and had to spend several hours in the car
