My Singing Monsters is a 2012 video game franchise developed by Big Blue Bubble and published by Canada Media Fund. The first game of the series was released on September 4, 2012 for Apple iOS. Ports of the game for other operating systems were later released, including versions for Android, Amazon Kindle Fire, Barnes & Noble Nook, and Steam. The game was also released on the PlayStation Vita portable console. Since its release, My Singing Monsters has grown into a multimedia franchise, with a prequel, several spin-off games, books, live events and series, and a board game. On May 12, 2021, Big Blue Bubble announced that the series would be releasing its first console title, My Singing Monsters: Playground, on November 9, 2021.

The iOS version of the game was released in Canada on 8th September 2015 and was released worldwide for iOS on September 23rd, 2015. The Google Play Android version of the game was released on September 25th, 2015. The Amazon Kindle version of the game was released on November 21st, 2015, and the Amazon Appstore Android version was released on November 28th, 2015.

Lore dump/context for y’all:
Mirror Islands have structures from DoF still there because the mirror islands take place in a separate timeline where structures survived the toll of time.
The Crystalline Castles are castles that were built using Crystalline from within said island. The magical castles are a unique case, as their Crystals originate from the Prism Gate, but that a whole different topic.

This can actually show that mirrored islands are just older versions of DoF islands.
And also the portal was broken so the monsters could not teleport to outer islands. This means the party island and other ones can be in the Msm universe, but just cannot be found. I dont know, but Msm might make an update about this.
The plant, cold and air islands are also one in Dof, but separated in Msm which might explain why they are the first 3 islands

Edit:I forgot to explain the castles
The castles are just built of the materials of their islands.
Example: Air islands castle in Msm is build out of Air islands crystal in Dof.

Update: I believe that water island unlocks later in the continent, along with what seems to be earth island. So as in dof, you unlock cold island after plant, then air, then water and then earth just as in msm island order.

I hope this clears up anything and I will make more updates if I see new stuff.

Ya’know what’s funny? The deconstructor reminds me of the skull cavern from Tinycastle, another elemental breeding game that released almost three months later but is a dead game by now, which is an understatement. I got both of them at the same time and always wondered what would happen if the monsters and creatures were to meet eachother, a man can dream though.

I think this means or implies that the Mirror Islands are inside of the Prism Gate which sucked everything in during the end of the dawn of fire. While the Fire Monsters and some others were already in the Living Core some of the Naturals were also sucked in. This also explains where the Mirror Islands got their crystals from even tho its just these Natural Islands

My theory is the mirror islands are the continent islands in the future and the original ones are in the past

Here are what i think: The continet in DOF was the actual mirror islands, as there are so destroyed or gone structures yet to remain, this is possibly due to continental drift, due to the reason islands like party island dont exist in my singing monsters; the portal is broken, possibly the mirror islands had sprouted a fungus to make it what it is now, either representing - the actual continent or - seemingly forgotten lands in outer universes. who knows, this is what i think, so you can pop in what you think in the replys, idk

my theory is that the mirror islands are the true islands that the continent was made out of. this also ties to the magical islands. the magical islands are heavily distorted versions of Dof's outer islands. the outer islands have been distorted and the mirror magical may not be fully discovered yet. but they might look only worn down not distorted like the magicals.
