Ohh believe me it was bad!! imma trucker I delivered a load there. The interstates were all shut down. Side streets piled with snow. 1 lane avenues, cars everywhere people walking around like an apocalypse movie. Yup I managed to escape this shutdown city hours ago. Boy was it hard! I had to take back streets to get out of here. I thank the lord Jesus for saving me. I got stuck I prayed to him then I get unstuck. Man everyone else who was driving got stuck and wiped out. I’m probably one of the few who got in and out in that city in 1 peice. Crazy day!

You should think about how you would respond and work an emergency like this with ONLY electric vehicles and equipment.

How? They didn't know the storm was approaching? I live in Manitoba, one of the worst places for Canadian winter weather, and when there's a storm coming, we stay tf home!!!! RIP to those who lost their lives 🙏🏿

I have a feeling they are going to find more people dead in their cars when this storm dies down. How awful. I can't imagine the horror of being stranded in your car in extreme cold, not being able to get out and freezing to death.

If I had family stuck in that or knew of homeless. I would have suited up and went in for rescue. Not a second thought.
The day after tomorrow. Cumpus. Tennis rackets tied to feet. Goggles. Construction mask with scarfs. Hunter suit. Snow suite gloves. Layers of clothes. No excuse for anyone to die in a car or on the street.

This is such BS. I grew up in upstate NY. It's been snowing like this every year forever.

It is sad. I can't imagine what it must have been like to be stuck in a car, knowing that you're going to freeze to death and there's nothing you can do about it. Horrible!

And no mention of the homeless. Those people are survivors man. I knew some that survived many winters. Others weren't so lucky.

It was -25 with windchill or more havent had water since christmas eve. My furnace stopped working due to gelled up fuel even with additives

Serious question how do people die from storms like this if everyone is at home? Did the power go out or something? I’m not being funny asking this question I’m just truthfully shocked. We’re these people homeless or something? I live in Cleveland, OH where it gets VERY bad as well because of Lake Erie and most people here don’t go out.

I feel sorry for all the people that died, but these officials should be held accountable. If the storm is coming from Colorado it’s a heads up for the East Coast.

I would try to move away from that area of the country because every other winter in the last 10 years is worse than the previous.
