They are called what dirt road drivers called “grip strips” it’s at every rx track as we try to find the fine line through those to gain much time like shown as that’s why there can be much separation in the times in rallycross splits the grip strips are grass, gravel, asphalt, and concrete

I'm glad somebody made a video on this. I like running these because they're short and fun, actually got into them because of JBo. But God I hate racing them here because somebody is gonna cut that second right in the dirt. I wish iRacing would make the slowdown longer so you'd actually have to slow down.

That’s actually how you’re supposed to race that track though, you just have to actually try so you don’t get slowdown penalties. The fastest legitimate line around the track gets you down to 42 second laps, but most people are gonna be in the 45 second range because they overshoot the last few corners.

This is why I choose not to race the pro 2 lites. There needs to be 1x or 2x Inc's anytime a tire touches the paved portions of the track when the tires should obviously be on the dirt. It's simply too easy to gain an advantage over the competitors who otherwise don't know about the differences in grip.
