Best Experience EVER! || Baron 1898 at Efteling
Wow! What a ride this is! Baron 1898 is a B and M dive coaster at Efteling and provides one of the best experiences you can every have a theme park. Beyond the fantastic pre-shows and super cool soundtrack, the coaster wasn't as bad as what people had said (at least for me).

Baron 1898 Mix - Efteling

the thing about Efteling is; it's not a funfair park with thrillseeker rollercoasters. It's a family park. You go there as a toddler, interact with the fairytales in the Fairy Tale Forest, have fun in roundabouts and on teetertotters and ride the kiddie train. When you're a bit older, you still enjoy the Fairy Tale Forest, but you are now big enough for some of the rides and love the Raveleijn stuntriders. When you're a teenager, you might enjoy showing your little siblings the ins and outs of the Fairy Tale Forest, and will willingly escort them on Dreamflight, but you think yourself absolutely cool when you ride Baron and Python. When you're a grown up and have kids of your own, you take the kids and secretly (or not so secretly) enjoy all the familiar and new things in the park, and when you're a grandparent, you get to do it all over again. It's not ABOUT wether the rides are higher or faster or scarier - it's the absolute magic of the place.

fun fact, the small pine trees you see in the queue are the same kinds of trees they used back in the days for reinforcing mine shafts. And yes you can choose ibetween the first row or the 2 other rows normally, (before covid)

Great review! When I rode Baron, the bunny hill did give some floater airtime for me and the helix was rather forceful. But I agree the drop and theming are excellent.

I love the Baron 1898 because its near me (I live in the netherlands)... I think its one of the best coasters because it also has nice scenery... I also like untamed at walibi holland
