Gymnastic FAILS That SHOCKED The WORLD..

Welcome back to Sports Dive, today on the channel we are going to recall The gymnastic fails that made fans go WILD. The gymnastics vault is methodical. “One small step, you know, one inch is a really big difference," former U.S. Olympic gymnast Elise Ray says on the new podcast Blind Landing. “It completely plays a factor in your run and your hurdle and your entry.” Ray was a top contender in the all-around at the 2000 Sydney Games—until it came time to vault. She flipped at the wrong angle and crashed hard on the mat, nearly landing on her neck. “I thought it was nerves, I thought my steps were off... something that I was doing,” Ray says. “I blamed myself.” The mishap is still one of the biggest mistakes in Olympic history. In Blind Landing, host Ari Saperstein talks to several vaulters (some are speaking out for the first time) about how the error in measurement cast doubt on the entire competition—and put them in serious danger.

In July 29, 2000, Ray won the U.S. Gymnastics Championships after landing a Yurchenko double full, one of the most difficult vaults at the time. It also secured her spot on that year’s Olympic team. “The absolute pinnacle, right?” Ray says on Blind Landing. “It’s what everybody wants.” When she fell on vault at the games one month later, she chalked it up to nerves. So did many of the other gymnasts who also fell. It wasn’t until Australian gymnast Allana Slater questioned the vault's height that the gymnasts began to realize what was happening. “I’ve spent countless hours on vault, and I just remember thinking to myself, that vault looks low. That really looks like a low vault,” Slater says on the podcast. More on The gymnastic fails that made fans go WILD when you finish this video.

I never laugh at a gymnastics fall. The shape you have to be in and the skill level to pull off these skills is amazing. Wish I were that skilled.

I doubt any fans think their falls are hilarious. Anyone with a brain knows that these young girls are pushed harder than hardest to do the most impossible vaults, while fighting gravity. They are probably the hardest working athletes in the entire world, and when they fall, everyone is gasping with horror, knowing that this fall can take away their gold and career. We don’t laugh, we don’t think it’s hilarious, we feel their pain and pray they are ok.

Who else thought that Gabby Douglas’ “fail” was amazingly saved?! It’s not a fail just an error and the fact that she pulled her self up and got back to it was so brave! We all need her bravery <3

Um- usually when the “fail” it doesn’t end in embarrassment- it almost always end with an injury or mental block- that’s why it’s the hardest sport in the world

It makes me sad to see anything negative about these people who have worked so hard and sacrificed so much to get as good as they are.

Re Gabby Douglas, she did not "attempt to lower herself to the floor in one of the most ungracious ways possible." She was trying not to touch the floor with her foot as it is more point deductions. These are not embarrassing or ungracious. These women are tremendous and courageous athletes.

7:20 This fall wasn't funny, it was damn scary. Plenty of gymnasts have died falling just like that.

Your thumbnails are awful, and completely clickbait. Please respect the sport.

I hate it when videos about gymnastics say something like “ Yeah that was a bad fall for her but at least the crowd can laugh about it”. If the crowd laughs about then they are just terrible people

I would gladly say that being a gymnist has got to be the most difficult, amazing sport there is.The things these young athletes have to do an endure is beyond belief.Years of total commitment and sacrifice. The things they do...I could only do in my dreams 😉😁

not a fail but a PERFECT athlete Katelyn Ohashi matured into the most sexy gymnast in history but was body shamed and mocked and left to the dust bin and not even included in this list❣

They label this as embarrassing Acts. It's nothing embarrassing about it accidents happen even to professionals it takes great skill to do what these girls do. Where they fail or when they're all winners to me. Because honestly can you see yourself doing this. It takes years and years of blood and tears to practice this

All these "fails", as they call it were a blessing in disguise, because it could have been detrimental to some of them, however, they maintained their dignity and also gave some of them the opportunity to correct these mistakes, I commend them all!! 🙏👋👍💪

It takes allot of courage in front of a large audience to pick up yourself and keep moving with their performance. Gymnastics is a great athletic performance, and years of training. One of my favorite gymnastics, I love watching. Their all great, and talented. Thank you for all your work.

I relate to that Gabby Douglas beam fall. I’m an XCEL bronze gymnast, and while I was doing a handstand on beam, I landed on one foot and my other slipped. I saved myself by swinging my foot under the beam and holding myself up like a koala but if I didn’t catch myself I might have gotten terribly injured

What prompted me to watch this was the image of Katelyn Ohashi. When she didn't appear on the list I was kind of bummed but, then I realized she's absolutely flawless and she has no fails.
