I currently own a 2014 model 64kW @ 63Nm torque and i love it, it was heavy at first (coming from a CBR250r to a 650) i'm used to it now, it overall does the job the only thing i hate on the older model is the eat its a bit tough. The 0-100km/h i tested is 3.8 seconds so its fast i don't know what its 200km/h is haven't tried it yet. Mines a non LAM/unrestricted so has the full power its fine around town beats all things so far off the mark, has a nice sound, now that i'm used to the power it'd be nice for it to have more power and beat its competitors like the MT-07 and the Suzuki Gladius 650. But what i love about this bike is the maintenance its low compared to other bike manufacturers.

This new model looks awesome I hope it comes to Australia! I hope Honda are looking to compete with the 750cc, 900cc and 1000cc market of nakeds as for my next bike i'd like to see a more powerful Honda naked!

Can we possibly get a more in-depth and honest review of the cbr650f vs the 600f that it replaces? The "old" cbr600f had inverted forks, lighter body, a slightly detuned 600rr engine that puts out +100hp (cbr650f is at 87hp), and as far as I've heard the 600f is just as comfortable, yet used to be cheaper from new. What's with all that? It genuinely seems like Honda has stepped town a bit on everything, just to make it a little more low speed friendly with its added 50cc and low end torque. But to be honest, as it's still a downgrade on peak engine power, suspension, weight, and price, I'd really like to see them head to head to figure out what the point of the 650f really is, over the model it replaces. And to me the older model looks slightly prettier tbh.

How do they compete with the Z900, MT09, GSX S750 and the Street Triple... ??? I know its not fair to compete a faired bike with the naked one.. but its in comparison with what is available in the market at the moment....

2017 CB650F almost as expensive as the Z900, almost as heavy as the Z900. Kawasaki only weights mere pounds more, only costs mere dollars more (USA), and has more power.

You want a 650, stick with the MT/FZ-07, Z650, and SV650.
