this is still good because switch 2 is backwards compatible, all of these games won't die into irrelevancy. Gotta remember stuff like miles morales and ragnarok was on ps4 too and still blew up. this isnt like a 3ds direct during the switch life cycle

I see what this is. It’s clearly a swan song direct for the Switch 1; revealing some of the final first party Switch 1 games, which may or may not also get cross releases on the Switch 2, and giving it proper closure before fully embracing the Switch 2. It’s actually pretty smart given how they handled the transition from the Wii U to the Switch 1.

It's literally a week for the Switch 2 Direct so it's INSANE to see a Nintendo Direct before that! If it's a Direct for the Switch 1 and the Switch 2 I really hope to see these games: The Legend of Zelda Wind Waker & Twilight Princess, Kirby Planet Robobot Deluxe remake, Hollow Knight Silk Song, Sonic Dream Team, Super Mario 2D All Stars, Galaxy 2 or even Super Mario Baseball that would be so FUN! 🎉

I literally just tweeted that I found it unlikely that we would've gotten a Direct this close to the Switch 2 event, but then again it's Nintendo, so who knows. Glad to see I was proven both right and wrong at the same time.
