Max Homa fires course record 62 | Round 2 | BMW Championship | 2023

In the second round of the 2023 BMW Championship, Max Homa shot a course record, 8-under 62, getting to 10-under after 36 holes and taking a two-shot lead into the weekend.


The PGA TOUR heads to Olympia Fields Country Club, just outside of Chicago, for this week’s BMW Championship and the second leg of the FedExCup Playoffs. This week will determine the final 30 players eligible to compete for the TOUR Championship next week at East Lake in Atlanta. Lucas Glover will look to make it three wins in a row on the PGA TOUR after capturing both the Wyndham Championship and the FedEx St. Jude Championship last week. His recent successes have pushed him from No. 49 to No. 4 in the FedExCup standings. Patrick Cantlay returns to defend his back-to-back BMW Championship wins after last week’s playoff defeat to Lucas Glover. This was one of seven top-four finishes this season as he looks to make it a three-peat at this event. Rory McIlroy played well for his T-3 finish in Memphis last week. He’s claimed top-10 finishes in all of his last seven starts and with three FedExCup Championships to his name, he knows what is required this time of year to outlast the best players in golf. Other players to look out for are Scottie Scheffler, Jon Rahm, Viktor Hovland and Tommy Fleetwood.

Max distance was on fire today. Was good to see Lucas post 3 under. If he can finish top 10 this week, I think he'll light it up next tournament and win the cup!

I don't think the scores will be lower I see the BMW is set up like a US OPEN., it's hosted a Major.
