Apple held its October 2018 event in Brooklyn, where it announced new iPad Pros, Mac Minis, and MacBook Airs. Many of the products have features adopted from other Apple products — the new iPad Pro doesn’t have a button and instead uses Face ID to unlock, while the Air has added Touch ID.

Apple's been on point this year. iOS 12 was a MUCH needed smooth-over of iOS and is probably the first iOS update people (without older phones) upgraded to without fear of slow-down, or excessive bugs... The iPhone XR, which I initially thought was a bust due to it's screen, is actually gorgeous in person, offers great performance, and is probably the best "value" iPhone Apple has ever offered tbh (think about it; last year's iPhone 8 costed more, had the same PPI, no faceID sensors, a much "lower tech" and conventional screen shape and smaller screen, etc.). The XS and XS Max are meh... But the Apple Watch Series 4 is absolutely GORGEOUS and hands down the best smartwatch in the industry.
Now, this.... Especially the iPad Pro and Apple Pencil... Damn Apple, I'm not usually a fan, but you did good this year. I'm STRONGLY considering switching to iPhone, so that I can get an Apple Watch, and have a more streamlined experience with the new iPad Pro

Finally addressed the honestly really bad design flaws of the first pencil. Nice solutions too! I'm also loving the dark theme of everything. Love it on the OS and love the dark gray metal on the "pro' stuff.

Don't really care about face ID at a gimmick and a waste of resources in my book (I mean the tech is cool I guess....but not really a feature that's worth the price for I like the bigger screen space it gives I guess. Only thing I care about for iPad is using it for design/adobe stuff/wacom think I can afford it though right now unfortunately. Little too expensive. And the pencil should be included with it honestly.

Don't know about other products and iphones but they have nailed the ipad pro...android tablets or even convertible laptops can't come close to this atleast for their next 2-3 generations....These people are truely generations ahead this time.(Not to forget that 2nd gen pencil )

I want to share a recent experience. I have a mid-2012 MacBook Pro Retina. It stopped working last month and I took it to an authorised Apple Specialist who told me it needed a new Logic board. £615 repair bill including the fitting. Apple stumped up the bill and repaired it free of charge with no quibbles despite my MacBook Pro being just under 6 years old. I can't fault the company right now. As a result my 2012 MacBook Pro feels like a new device- I'm over the moon and amazed at how well Apple look after their users. I bet you a Windows laptop wouldn't even make it past 4 years without giving a blue screen!
