Z1, you need to unequip the suit you already have on before you can equip the new one. Lol.

Also, I think that the Oxygen vehicle thing allows you to stay underwater indefinitely.

it's likely the rover is going to play a bigger roll in upcoming content like the recently announced DLC. however in the current game if you upgrade it's inventory module it can hold roughly the same amount as a tier 2 storage box. also you can build multiple rovers and if it's empty your able to bring it along with you while portal hopping by putting it in your bag with the red button on the tailgate (note you can hold multiple rovers in your bag at once). meaning you can drop it outside of the wrack your clearing and have the drones setup to supply or demand items. however it does take a bit of time for your drones to reach a rover inside a portal. but there is also a recall screen on the vehicle station allowing you to get it back if you misplace it or get it stuck someplace.

oh and when your inventory is empty in the rover you can press that orange button on the back of it and pick it up and put the rover in your inventory "like putting it in your pocket"

for those wondering currently the vehicle station and vehicle inventory chip unlock roughly halfway through the main terraformation index. where the vehicle logistics chip doesn't unlock until your roughly halfway through the way into animals terraformation index. various other vehicle chips are unlocked using the blueprint chips like unlimited Oxygen while inside the rover along with levels 2 and 3 for most others.

Species 4 animals can be found in the toxic caves and petting them might get you a 4 as well, but they can be found in procedural wrecks as well. Oh - he did find them, ha ha.

the drones will follow the rover till they make the pick up, i watched mine follow me till they were able to pick up the load

We now have everything, water, air, lands, meteors. The only thing missing now is dinosaurs for this game to be history specific🥂🥂🥂

the fully upgraded inventory for the rover is roughly the size of a tier 2 storage locker.

The rover is cool, but other than it being a driveable object, it really isn't improving the game much... flying is still faster (don't forget we have teleporters) and rovers extra inventory can also be easily replaced by just building a storage next to whatever we're exploring and get drones pick the stuff up...
The only positive to this rover is that it's basically an oxygen house, which can be used to replenish your oxygen underwater... but even that isn't very impressive, because there aren't many wrecks and caves underwater where you could use this rover.

So I like what they've done to the game and I can't wait to see what they'll bring next, but the rover could use some improvements and usage that can't be replicated/improved by flying/teleporting and building quick storages...
