arthur proves that he's a father, as everyone at camp, including dutch, look to him to provide the food, shelter, clothing, and security and protection, with begruging love asking nothing in return. realizing that a woman and her sons suffering because of him, has his insticts to father them kick in, and like a good father he gives them what they need to make life eaiser. the money and method to leave and Not Look Back! was the best.
