It wasn't even an hour after I saw it hit 100% before I saw a bunch of tweets "BANJO PC PORT IS COMING SOON" 😂

(1) Decompiling is black magic.

Assembly being called hieroglyphics even for most programmers is so true

So hyped. I work on music for BK hacks, and my first goal with this will be to combine BK, BT and DK64's soundfont instruments into one mega-font 💪

I think the true awakening as a programmer comes when you realize that C is a high-level language. Amazing stuff! Banjo is awesome

As a botw glitch-Hunter, I can tell how useful the decomp project is. The botw decomp project is a very long task that doesn't look possible to complete 100% and not many people are working on it right now.
But for glitch hunting this so useful. I personally asked someone to decomp a specific thing a few years ago to understand a glitch (IC) and it was so helpful. After that, understanding clearly what the game is doing made glitch-hunting so much more easier and efficient. In the following years, a major part of major glitches that was discovered all used this knowledge. Now, we are on the brim of being able to perform ACE, it wouldn't have been possible at all without the decomp project and the tools that it uses

1:20 This fact blows my mind.. I can't imagine anything I translate from assembly would ever match bytecode post compilation. This is a truly a feat.

I'd love to see BT get decompiled as well and have to two games stitched together somehow, if something like that is even possible.

Wow I didn't know you could code assembly in Microsoft Paint. Thanks Kaze! 👍

It's a matter of time and effort to get every n64 game running on pc natively.

0:49 The hard part is, this decompilation has been done entirely in Paint ! ^^

There aren't actually an infinite number of parallel universes in Mario 64, only about 10^68

When Kaze isn't programming around rambus limitations, he's bench pressing actual busses. 😂 It's cool to see projects like this happen, but the mad amounts of work is really respectable! I can't even imagine the amount of effort and collaboration this took. Hats off to everyone!

I haven't even played Banjo-Kazooie and I'm legit excited for this development. Big ups to the N64 modding community!
