Excellent lesson. The only problem I had is that when I assembled the red pin the assembly would not rotate anymore. Not sure why.

Your tutorials are the best I have found thus far. Tim Callinan’s are good also, but yours are top of the heap. Do you have any for SolidWorks Electrical? Or know of anyone who does?

First of all thank you for spending the time to make this video. It seems odd to me the part you chose to display. I find issues with the practical aspect of the functionality. For example the pins for the u-joint needs circlips to keep them from falling out when in rotation. What feature within the program would detect the inherent vibration and gyroscopic forces pulling on the pins and moving them outward? Is there a simulation where you can import your assembly to run real world test for functionality? Thanks.

Do you know how long it took me to figure out imt 103_3a. Its not as strait forward as Thought when I looked at it. When you put in the tangent arc at the bottom and the chamfer up top it screws up adding reference geometry. so what I did was design everything square, dimension, revolve boss base put in the threads up top, which was its own challenge playing with the setting to make sure the threads were solid. I did add a stud post with undercut because I think it looks cleaner. Anyways. the base cone was possibly the most difficult once I got used to using swept cut, circular pattern and mirror off and reference my reference plane to cut-sweep the other direction. All in all the dome at the bottom with the r5/16 I designed it in cut it out and added it at the end all because the blueprints did not give me a total shaft length beyond the knurled handle. Design intent, makes things like this incredibly annoying but without your teaching, of previous videos, I wouldn't have been able to do it and definitely never would have taken design intent into consideration.

very helpful videos, but could you tell me how to show the waste material for the IMT 103_3A of the exercise?

Thank you so much for these tutorials! They're the best! Do you have any video where you import a part and edit this part? I have to import a 3D model of a bone and cut a piece out of it and build on this bone some new design. (not necessary on a flat surface) is this possible ? Thanks a lot!

My Windows 10 explorer would not show the part icon as a picture of the part - only as the standad Icon (which could be described as fat yellow upside down letter T -in isometric view). But your parts (which I downloaded) are displayed correctly-miniature picture of actual part. I am using SW ver. 2021-22. Any idea why? Thank you.

Is there drawings for the parts to recreate them? I feel like that would be good practice. Start all the parts from scratch and then make the assembly
