Great job, I’ve been shooting for months and wish I watched this in the beginning. I cover drifting and sometimes you have accept the telephoto lengths and just play with angles.

Thanks for the "Don't play it safe" tip and the video itself Jacob 👍. I'm going to do hybrid shooting for an Enduro event in two weeks, which I'm really looking forward to.

I've used my Fuji 70-300 for pretty much all my action photography/videography on my X-T4. For this upcoming event I'll use my Tamron 17-70 2.8 because spectators get pretty close to the action and I really want to try what you suggested because it'll be fun to try something different.

Great video. I'd swap out no.1 for not checking your backgrounds, because safety always has to come first. Not just for you, but for the athlete too

Very good advice if dealing with more individual subjects. Unfortunatly for me, when I am shooting moto x my shots have to appeal to 100 riders at a session with the hope they want a copy. I'm guilty of being rather traditional in my images but cannot afford the risk, (due to the time involved) in creating something which would more special to me only to find they prefered the more traditional shots. Any advice would be most welcome though.

Have contacts that actually care that you even own a camera is the biggest tip.
You can take exactly the same images as a sponsored shooter at an event but without contacts people simply don't care you even attended.
I've been shooting over 20years and have seen and experienced quite a lot that influencers simply don't even mention.
They turn up using flagship bodies and 20k+ in lenses mostly supplied by a media company. 🤦🏼‍♂️
And the price's just keep on climbing. Best lens for action sports photography is a 70-200 2.8 or a 300mm2.8
