Everything is cheap from your perspective because you earn more money than the average resident in Moscow earns in a month

Yeah you miss this about Russia because you earned a Western salary while living there. Getting a bit tired of these digital nomads considering everything great every where they go, jacking up the prices for locals and then claimimg "only 600 dolars" is cheap, when in Russia the minimum wage is WELL below that. Some perspective, gentlemen.

TAXI COST 5$ only because 1 dollar= 95 rubles, ask the average salary in Moscow, same with all other prices

❌ Things I miss about Russia
✔️ Things I miss about Moscow
For those who don't know, Russian rurals look a lot worse, then the capital

I’m not sure why everybody doesn’t say that Tom looks EXTREMELY Russian himself and has a slight accent when he speaks English

Just a reminder the average Russian citizen makes the equivalent to 14 thousand USD.

ahaha, as usual, some experts on Russia in the comments. Of course, most of these commentators have never been to Russia and still flatter themselves that people live better in the West. And yes, Moscow lives better than the rest of the country, as it is the capital and a major financial center. But isn't it the same in your countries?

60 days of a sunny year?)) Who told you that? Average sunny days per year in Moscow - 114.

Wages are also a lot lower than Russia than in the U.S. Something to keep in mind.

Let me clarify about prices. In Moscow, the salary is about $1, 500-2, 000, so many things are cheaper. In the US, salaries are 2-3 times higher. There is no point in comparing the standard of living by salary. In the US, a car is the main means of transportation, but in Moscow, even if I have a car, I rarely use it, since public transport is really good, or I often take car sharing. Apartments are cheaper, but in my opinion they are better in the US, since the rental market is much more developed there, and here many people rent out apartments with very poor repairs. I think that in the US, apartments are beautiful, and here they are often small. We call medicine and education free, but it is paid for from taxes, and in the US from salaries, so I don’t see a difference. We have completely different lifestyles. In the US, city dwellers are engaged in one house, and here many have a separate country house. We even work differently, so there is no point in comparing. Each country has a completely different culture and lifestyle

As a Lithuanian I think Russia is a beautiful self-sustainable country with great rich history and great people.

Idk this year in Moscow the summer was so long and hot. We literally had no single day of rain from june till october and it was +25° and above until october as well. So there was much more sunny days then 60
