Highland 1300 Roof Top Tent Instructional and Features | DARCHE®

Value and practicality is the name of the game with the Highland 1300 Roof Top Tent.

Compared to a traditional end-opening clamshell RTT, the side-opening layout means that all of the interior volume can be utilised by trading some peak headroom for additional width.

Featuring a tough aluminium shell, full width windows for ventilation, oversized fly for weather protection, LED strips, storage pockets and hooks, and a memory foam mattress all in a low-profile package weighing just 72kg, the Highland 1300 has everything you need while still being light enough to suit most 4WDs and utes.

Despite being only 180mm in thickness, the Highland 1300 has enough space inside to hold light bedding while you are on the go, and when you do arrive at your destination, the numerous pockets, hooks, and shoe bags give plenty of options for storing little knickknacks.

You guys are killing it with your RTT offerings. Loving the new options available now from you guys. Nearly 2yrs on and I still love my Darche Ridgeback RTT. Though some of the stainless steel parts are starting to show surface rust. I didn't realise stainless steel rust. Is this a defect?

You glorious bastards just saved me from buying the Drifta version that opens like this… mind you, you’ve made it far longer to set up/break down by going with that style of fly when the Drifta one isn’t anything as extended out like this.

Is there a mattress upgrade option? If I can get a far thicker self-inflatable in there, my life would be complete. 50mm is nowhere near enough for my lengthy trips away during the NT dry season.

Also… if I want to feed 12v power into it, is there anywhere in the material that allows this?

One more thing… the description on the website for the external dimensions needs correcting:

External Dimensions
3200L x 2100W x 1350H mm

3.2m long is pushing the limits, for sure!

The specs say its 3100mm length ? Is that correct. Seems wrong ?

Also, can you run me through why this is 1000$ cheaper than the streamliner ? Im weighting up the 2 now.
Cheers

I took 6 months to decide and two weeks back bought your Streamliner. Wish this was available to consider as it’s similar weight… Oh well. It does look more annoying to setup at least. Surprised why it’s $1000 cheaper than the Streamliner?
