My husband treated me like a queen. I loved him and was loyal and we had FUN. He was so creative, witty and funny. He died this year from cancer. My soulmate. I miss him profoundly.

I’m sure women want many of the same things…but the question was asked “what do men need?” So I did my best to summarize.

Great Nick. Exactly what my hubby and I GAVE EACH OTHER for almost 38 years, when I lost him to cancer. :::sigh:::

My husband told me this when we were newly married. It sounded too simple but I took him at his word. It's been true for 25 years, and we are still strong and in love.

Can confirm. My wife was the first person to show me true unconditional love, support, and loyalty. There's not a single thing on this planet I wouldn't do for that woman.

"For men love is closely associated with loyalty." That explains a lot and makes so much sense.

Yes. And "intimacy" is NOT necessarily always synonymous with the word "copulation."

I’m a simple man. I only need to feel appreciated, loved, and useful. I am lucky to have that.

What a wonderful, patriotic, loving, intelligent, loyal man! If you run for president one day you’ll have my vote!💛

As a wife of more than 20 years, I've found my husband to be appreciative of all these - but most importantly, compartmentalizing disagreement. Keeping the clash about the subject at hand and not bringing the past into the clash.
And, no grudges... we don't hold onto stuff in our house. We face what's wrong, make adjustments, and *move on!*

My 3rd husband proved he was the man he promised to be to me and my 2 sons. He saved me from sadness and loneliness. Going on 22 yrs. ❤️

An amazing amount of work can be done with just a smile and a "Thank you!"

I gave those things, but he didn’t reciprocate and he began to hate me because I was a symbol of his own sins. He almost killed me. I have never tried again because I didn’t trust my judgment. I’m so happy for others that find a good man and give him his due. For those women and men who went through a similar experience to mine, I care and pray that you will be well.

Wonderful reminder, if we tear at someone, the foundation will be weak. Goes both ways really!
