I've seen people say that after the Big Bang, everything was a dream up until the end of Chapter 2 Remix. And while this makes a little sense, I'm more on the theory that everything was real up until Chapter 2 Remix. And there's many things that point us to this. The rift butterfly probably means something about the mind, memories or, well, dreams. As after the Cube exploded.

Knowing this, a bit confused on why there was a rift butterfly lake carved into the wasteland area of the Chapter 5 island. Maybe it was just a teaser for Chapter 2 Remix and it could mean nothing. But still it's odd.

But I think Remix was def a dream, and maybe from the Zero Point being so powerful, its shard manifested in our dreams, waking us up.
I also think that The Prelude was also part of the dream, and that what actually happened was that a rift opened sending us to Chapter 6 instead.

what if the whole of chapter 5 was a dream. what if the big bang blew up the zero point, sent us all in to a huge dream being chapter 5 which introduced us to hope as a character, and the dream only ended at the point where we were flying above the chapter 6 island. it would explain the stuff that didn't make sense in chapter 5 like us just randomly ending up on the chapter 2 map

My theory is that they paid celebrities to be in the game for the sake of collabs.
Personally though, Travis had more heart to it, since it was more of a separate/music festival like marshmallow's and not the main focus of the entire story.
