Today we dive into some of the biggest real estate stories making headlines right now. A $175 million plot of land in California just hit the market after a failed luxury hotel development—what went wrong? In New York City, the second tallest building is set to rise on Park Avenue, reshaping the iconic skyline. Meanwhile, a historic Frank Lloyd Wright house in Chicago is at risk of being torn down, sparking controversy among preservationists. In Miami, a $50 million superstructure is being built, pushing the boundaries of modern architecture. And in Monaco, a staggering $2 billion land expansion project is underway, adding valuable real estate to one of the most exclusive places on Earth.

An apartment in MareTerra started at 7000€ a square foot when the project was on paper. Right now, one those houses you said would be 10-15 million … i say they would be like 70-80 million €

MarreTerra is mostly finished in Monaco. It’s been open to walk around for about two months.

I live near the Miami house. There's a reason why they're elevating the whole house and pool. The "100 year flood" is not the only reason it's also due to the protected mangroves blocking the houses view of the bay. The location is 5 miles south of Gables Estates where houses like that on half the lot are going for 50 plus and 9 miles south of where Ken Griffin bought a house a couple of years back on a similar sized lot to this one for 100 M so I can see it easily selling for that 50 M price.

I have visited a few of the Frank Lloyd Wright buildings in the Chicago area. They are magnificent.

I'm a resident of Benedict Canyon aka "Beverly Crest" The narrow! roads here are crumbling, the water pipes break all the time, and a decade of heavy trucks to build on a loose gravelly hillside is not a great idea, especially in an area that is constantly under red flag warnings for fire risks. Wildlife I see almost daily: deer, coyotes, raccoons, hawks, owls, bobcats (so many we named them), and then snakes galore, residents get southern pacific rattlesnakes all the time here. That'll be great at a hotel.

Scott the mansion in monaco you said is not worth 15 to 20 million dollars. The mansions are worth more than 200 million dollars

as much as we like to gloat over another big-time mansion developer getting cut down to size, their problems also serve to illustrate the difficulty of building in LA and SoCal.'
While this is an extreme example of this, and may not be the best use of remaining open space, fact is that the rebuilding after the fires is off to a very slow start.
So far, there are only a handful of permits (four, I think) that have been issued, and that is for construction on land that previously already had a structure on it, and despite all the pledges of officials of a faster and more streamlined process.

Any developer or housing activist complaining about the cost and length of time needed for new housing construction will find ample opportunity to point to in support of their arguments.

The Monaco project is interesting. Beautiful. I know you have to have connections to move there. The glass house on the ocean in a storm would be exciting to watch...and scary to wait in. My bucket list is a condo on Lake Michigan across from Chicago to watch storms come in. Have you heard the E Conover drama? No need to rehash it here.

The stock market is so going down. With inflation hitting 7%, it’s tough for everyday people to keep up. I’ve been lucky to plan ahead, but I worry about those who haven’t. A lot of folks are losing money in their 401(k)s, and some are even dipping into savings just to cover bills. I hope policymakers step in soon but it's important to recognize that no chart can predict movements with certainty. Despite the volatility, I've managed to grow my portfolio to 9.2 in bitcoins in just a few months, thanks in large part to the expertise of Sophia Haney whose traditional trading knowledge has been invaluable...

I wonder if those are the same LED strips I have in my bedroom I bought from TEMU? Enjoyed the video.

I live by the Khora house. The renderings are not exaggerations. It’s the biggest thing I’ve ever seen.

I like the $50 million Florida mansion.

At about 4:56 depending on the accuracy of the rendering, the optics, and the fidelity of the video and all, it looks like you're going to turn each of those cars into a see-saw on the top of the driveway. The angle from slope to flat is too steep.

Monaco reminds me of Hong Kong. Only so much land to build on. Why Hong Kong is so expensive! I know because I lived there.
That guy who wanted to build that Bulgari hotel is so arrogant. He thinks he can just go in and do whatever. Spending his money first. So happy they stopped him. All that wildlife that needs that area. Land. The deer etc. I agree with you the land itself looks like it would be so hard to build on anyway! If we can see it why not him?!!!

the big new monaco mansions are more 100 mill than 15-20 mill

This property is not in the city of Beverly Hills as you’re talking about the Los City Council in your video and not even Mary Pickford had as many acres as this property a hundred years ago. It might be in the Beverly Hills Post Office?
