Dear fans, dear spectators! ‼️ Unfortunately, I have to inform you that 2 days ago I was the victim of a Scopolamine ⚠️💊 robbery in Medellin, Colombia. The drug is also known as "Devil's Breath". I was given a DRUG, rendered unconscious and robbed. My cell phone was stolen, which I used to record the Youtube videos, and all my money, including my cryptocurrencies, was also stolen. The perpetrators were professionals, as they gained access to all my accounts while I was unconscious. I am currently in a very difficult situation as I no longer have access to money or a cell phone. Nevertheless, I am glad that I am physically unharmed. Unfortunately, I don't know at the moment whether I will be able to continue my journey. It has really filled my heart to share my travel experiences with you here on Youtube, and it hurts my heart. After difficult years, I finally felt that I had found something that I really enjoyed... Unfortunately, a lot of video footage from Nicaragua has been lost on my cell phone. If you would like to help me in this unfortunate situation, I would be very grateful if you could support me with a small donation. A total of around 15,000 dollars was stolen from me. My cell phone, my entire travel budget and my savings. I am currently stranded in Colombia, penniless, without access to an account with money and without a cell phone. If you could help me with a small donation, I would be infinitely grateful to ensure the preservation of this channel I wish you all a Merry Christmas. May you be blessed.
With best wishes, Dr. Travel (Saveh Djalali) ❤️

Just to be clear. This is not a scam to steal money from my viewers. It really happened and I will publish the police report on my channel page as soon as I have it.
If you are worried about the paypal link because the criminals have access to my account - I have created a new paypal account for the fundraising. This runs via my brother's bank account. So the thieves have no access to it.
Many thanks for your support and Merry Christmas to all ❤🎄

1. anyone that tells you colombia is safe is lying to you
2. meeting strangers off the internet who insist to go straight to their apartment is extremely dangerous. This is not normal in colombia, or really anywhere tbh

You lost me at the part where you don't think they are bad people. This is why these things keep happening to people like you. You make yourselves the perfect target.
1) You won't do anything about it.
2) You make excuses for your attackers.

As a Colombian, my advice to foreigners is to not travel to Colombia at all. It is not safe as some social media characters say. the loss of tourism revenue may force the local government to take better action to prevent/combat crime across the country.

If any woman approaches you in Colombia, be cautious. If a pair of women approach you, RUN!

First of all, no woman will invite you to her apartment without knowing you for a week or two. This is a lesson.

Remember: Colombians HATE crime. They do not tolerate criminals and will resort to street justice and chase down a thief. Avoid clubbing ALONE and meeting women on apps without truly getting to know them first. Big city hookups is asking for trouble. Locals usually only date the gringos that have been introduced to them by friends or family. The Colombian women with the steady job or of good character will introduce you to her family first.

Like all big cities, there are great honest people in all barrios. Know your surroundings, stay in popular areas and if you do go off the beaten path bring a trusted local, insider, or guide.

Small Colombian towns are amazing and the people are amazing and VERY family oriented. You’re not likely to find trouble unless you’re looking for trouble.

Colombia is a beautiful country but of course do not ignore it also has deep historical and political underpinnings which can erupt again so register with your local embassy to get updates and notifications and just be smart and aware and you’ll be fine. 🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴

Next time take a picture of any lady you are with and then send the picture to a friend. If the lady refuse to let you take a picture just leave.

A Tip: Always travel with a spare phone, with a different login, password and email address. It should be linked to a single payment card, loaded with small amounts of money daily. Use this phone daily and keep your regular phone in the hotel safe or even a travel safe.

My family and I are from Colombia. We left that violent and dangerous country a long time ago. To this day, I still can't comprehend why some Westerners choose to vacation in that country. My guess is that they don't know much about that nation or they like taking risks.

In Colombia, you don't want to stand out. This means that if you are Colombian, you don't want to use your iPhone or wear expensive shoes in a public place. Having said this, if a Colombian is smart, he will learn how not to stand out. Now, for a foreigner, it's way harder not to stand out since they don't speak Spanish, and even if they do, their accent makes it obvious that they're foreigners. Even other Latin Americans are taking big risks when visiting Colombia—on several occasions, I have heard of Argentinians getting robbed in that country.

I'm sorry about what you went through. As a Colombian, all I can do is apologize a million times for the horrible things that those Colombians did to you. I'm glad that you're now okay.

Seriously dude? There's a million videos warning about this. The first rule of thumb is two girls want something from you, just run away. There's really no excuse for you getting in this situation. I seriously doubt you didn't know about all this prior to it happening.

Same thing happened to Vlogger Francis Candia just 2 days ago. This should be a strong warning to travelers to be very cautious.

im sorry what happened to you but you have to understand this isn't Europe bro, you can't just be going out meeting random girls you don't know and going back to their place. This is an impoverished country and you need to know exactly who you're dealing with before trusting anyone even a little bit. If you want to meet a woman you need to meet her through someone mutual that knows her family and financial circumstances. Otherwise you're better off just paying a sex worker inside of an organized club/brothel, have your fun, and come out unscathed.

It's part of the culture for decades there. Many locals struggle and will take advantage of you. Colombia is not Germany or America, safe. You cannot trust ppl in Medellin easily. Do your research about safety before coming here. It's best to go home if you have not money. No reason to stay in Colombia. Best wishes.

Thanks for the reminder to:
1) Unlink all your bank accounts except maybe a credit card with a small limit to your Apple Wallet.
2) Turn off face ID and just use a pin
3) Do not save all bank passwords to phone
4) Use a separate cheap unlocked phone when traveling to a high risk countries.

A travelers nightmare! Really sorry that happened to you, I was just in Medellin a few days ago staying at the same hostel you're at now. I too had some experiences with locals that could have lead to me being robbed but luckily this didn't happen to me. You have a very positive mindset so I know you'll recover from this. Keep us updated as you try to get back on your feet!

It always happens in pairs. When 2 girls invite you back for a drink, that's a red flag.

Stop making excuses for bad people. These girls are bad…they drugged you, robbed you and you could have died. They didn’t care what would happen to you after deceiving you. Don’t be naive or make excuses for them. This experience should not make you bitter but it should make you more cautious.

Sorry this happened. I’ve been going to Colombia for 10 years living for 3. I won’t be returning to Medellin ever again. Medellin is a dump. There are other cities that are safe but overal anywhere in cooombia a gringo is not safe. At any moment that could be it
