How to play Bingo

RULES:

The object of the game is to be the first player to get 5 in a row horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. Setup. Give each player a scorecard and markers. Special note: some scorecards have built in markers. Put all the Bingo balls in the cradle and mix them up.

One person, the caller mixes the balls and draws one at random and calls out the letter and the number on the ball. Each player then marks the called letter on their scorecard if it is present. The caller sets the drawn ball aside to/and marks it. If a player has 5 in a row they call out “BINGO”. They read back their letters and numbers to the caller to confirm a correct win. If they’re correct then the player wins. If not correct, or no one calls out bingo, then the caller draws another ball and the process repeats until there is a winner.

The middle space on each board is the free space, and always counts as if it has a marker on it. Another popular way to play is called: blackout. This is when the object of the players is to completely fill their scorecard with marks instead of just getting 5 in a row.

My local version of bingo is that each player gets a turn to call a number. The number called then marked off on every bingo board. The goal is to collect 5 bingoes.

A more fun way to play it where u actually have control of the game: instead of randomly putting in numbers each player has a turn to choose a number (I dont play it with letters) and u can't win with a 5 diagonal line

Rico "Mr. Bingo", the exercise instructor, at my day habilitation program in Massachusetts brought me here. We have 49 clients in the program and every client calls Rico "Mr. Bingo" because he hosts the bingo games one to two times a month in the afternoon when bingo is on the schedule. The day program has 'gone fishing' during the coronavirus since March 18th. It has a possible reopening date of June 1. Bingo is one of the various afternoon activities. Some of the employees miss hearing Rico call out the bingo numbers.
