New Ford Transit Custom PHEV

The new, state-of-the-art, Transit Custom Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV) is purpose-built to help you work more efficiently than ever.

An advanced electric powertrain can be charged at the mains, and when fully charged it can drive up to 56 km (34 miles) on electric power alone. With support from the multi award-winning 1.0 litre EcoBoost engine, which kicks in when needed to recharge and help extend the battery range, the van delivers outstanding efficiency, even on longer trips.

Once sufficiently charged, you can switch back to electric only, helping you save money and reduce pollution. The system also uses smart self-charging technology, such as regenerative braking, to send power back to the electric battery.

To ensure we didn’t compromise on the legendary Transit load space, the electric battery and powertrain have been concealed beneath the van’s chassis. This means you still have easy access to up to six cubic metres of space in the back of the van.

The New Transit Custom PHEV is also available with a FordPass Connect modem. This smart system enables you to connect with your Transit like never before. You can receive vehicle health alerts direct to your phone, you can lock, unlock, and even start the van remotely, and live traffic helps you avoid the queues.

The Transit Custom Plug-In Hybrid is designed to reduce local pollution whilst delivering all the flexibility, capability and dependability you expect from a Ford Transit Custom.
