ANOVA One way | F Test Direct Method | Problem & Solution | Hypothesis Testing Statistics

Steps to Follow for ANOVA One way | F Test Direct Method
Step 1: State the null and alternative hypothesis
Step 2: Calculate the Sum of squares for variation between the samples
Step 3: Calculate the Sum of squares for variation within the samples
Step 4: Calculate the Sum of squares for the total variation
Step 5: Prepare the One-way ANOVA table including SS between, SS within, SS total, corresponding degrees of freedom, MS between, MS within, F-test, and F-limit from the F-distribution table.
Step 6: Compare the value of the F-test with F-limit;
►If F-ratio comes out less than F-limit then we can’t reject the null hypothesis
►if the F-ratio comes out greater than F-limit then it implies the null hypothesis needs to be rejected.
