If your having trouble playing bar chords or doing pull offs I’d recommend trying the classical position by elevating your left leg and resting your guitar on your left knee/it’ll feel weird at first but once you get used to playing in the classical position it’ll take your playing to the next level and give you much easier bar chord pressure and save your wrist from hurting

Hello there! Thank you for the tutorial; it's definitely more comfortable to hold my guitar the way you showed than I did it before =) I have a question though, maybe you could help me out with a tip... The thing is, I tend to lean forward and a bit down so that I can actually see which string I'm picking or which chord I'm playing... I get it that when you're a bit more into playing, you start 'feeling' your guitar, but since I'm a complete beginner, I don't know how to hold my posture and have no chance of checking what my hands are doing with the strings :D

My local guitar center guy says there's no problem with it feeling right to have the neck towards the ground when I hold it. Opinions? Any other way it touches my elbows weird etc.

I have a Taylor acoustic, but find that the guitar keeps sliding on my upper thigh away from me. It is so frustrating.

If it helps, I play viola and violin with the right doing the strings, and the left hand playing the bow. But that feels wrong when holding a guitar.

Yeah, that feels weird. Feels more normal to have the neck towards the ground.

It's just disgusting to know people like to force others to know how to do things, despite the lack of interest.
