Amie, what you actually have for Mr. Borden is not a passport application but the actual passport itself. What tipped me off to this is the verbiage.."I, the undersigned Secretary of State of The United States of America hereby request all whom it may concern to permit safely and freely to pass Edward P. Borden, a citizen of the United States and in case of need to give him all lawful aid and protection." Also, passport applications may or may not have included a physical description, but the actual passport would have. Awesome find!
