On December 5, 2011, we had the pleasure of having speaker David Hanson present in our series. David is a specialist in creating androids - humanlike robots that exhibit intelligence and feelings.

During the talk, David gave us great insight into the field of androids and robotics, demonstrating the differences between the two while also taking us through his journey within the industry.

With video examples of robots he has worked on, including his famous 'Einstein Robot', David showed the great level of detail and work that goes into making robots seem life-like, so that people feel greater attachment towards them.

We thank David in giving this educational and captivating presentation.

I hoped that he would have invested his life into designing a multi mulit core processor design that is more of a brain than the art aspect of robotics. The mechanics and the appearance of a robot is not of any significant progress in robotic that are being modeled after humans.
