One often overlooked tip is to plan ahead for the weather on race day by checking forecasts (UV index/humidity/rain). A mudfest on gravel race is fun haha.

l forgot who it was but I remember someone mention brushing their teeth on 8+ hour rides to refresh themselves lol. Probably helps with the food and fuel tasting gross after a day
