People don't understand that a lot of the training these dogs go through is a game to them. They do it because they love doing it. Thats why they have such a hard time settling down in retirement. They've played the game for so long that they need to keep doing it. This is an awesome way to keep them happy.

My mom has been around these dogs when she worked for the army and these babies are so loved and cared for. They are like the soldiers child really very, very loved ❤

Working in nursing homes for over 10 years, one of the comments I heard most often from the residents was that since they no longer work, they feel they have no sense of purpose or contribution to both society and their family, which caused so many of them to feel depressed. I believe this goes for retired working dogs as well! Dogs want to do a good job and make their humans happy and proud, so doing this is a great way to allow her to continue doing what she worked so hard to be trained for! You’re a great dog dad!

I had female German Sheperd and she was a pet. She was professionally trained bcs her parents were some kind champions and we always needed to have some kind of mission or exercise for her. Such a smart and great dogs. She was living in a pack with my other 2 dogs(golden retriever and JRT) and a cat and they were perfect team. I really miss her, she died when she was 14.
