This was so helpful! Thank you! I was very undecided about ordering this for my almost 5-year-old, but now that I've seen the inside, I think we will save our money. It looks like there are some good things in there, but overall, I think what we are currently doing is meeting her needs between Sonlight and All About Reading.

I appreciate your video so much. Just to mention it- these books were recommended for my six year old but she is autistic and had regressed. I see how the ages you mentioned make sense for NT but some special needs kids could use these through high school! :)

New to a Charter school where they have this as some of the recommended curriculum and I didn't want to use our funds for it if I didn't know more! My child unfortunately does NOT like coloring but I love the other lessons where that's not necessary. How I wish my kid liked coloring though. :( That was one of my favorite activities as a kid, and seems to be a huge part of many youth academic plans. :/
