DIRT DRAGS 😱 TRAXXAS XMAXX 8s, SLEDGE VS Kraton 6s, Vitavon 25/30 Update

So far the 1.5 mod Vitavon gears and hardened spur shaft are doing Killer!!! Big thanks to my bash Brothers Ian, Victor, and Dave for another Epic fun session. Special shout out to David for letting me run his brand new Sledge. Cheers as always to M2C Racing and Fast Track Hobbies in Rocklin, CA.

Hey Rich, a while back I asked you about the fan tip with the screw and nut.
Well I’ve managed to go one further and combine 2 ideas and put them in 1.
You take the cover off your max5/6/8 lift up the fan replace it with the high power alloy fan but take some servo tape and u need some Sorbathane or those rubber things that lets you stick your phone to the dashboard of your car .
Cut out a circle shape +/- the shape of the bottom of the the fan and use the servo tape to stick your precut circle of 3-4mm Sorbathane to the round bit of the bottom of the fan
You use the nut and bolts technique so you get a firm fit but not overly tight to try to hold center of the fan in place
The bonus of this is that you aren’t putting all the pressure on a tiny point under the fan on hard impact. The Sorbathane allows a little bit of cushioning but won’t allow the blades to bend down far enough on impact to hit top of esc
Give it a try as it should save on running mega big fans and u can do the same to motor mount fans but attach a mesh above and below putting a piece of Sorbathane in In corner of the screw mount to hold the mesh and the same circle in the center on top of the heat sink
I got the Sorbathane idea from East tactics but kinda ran with it after watching the vid you told me to watch and so far so good.
Also faster the fan the better as that way the fan always gives lift so is trying to take off and absorbs the jump impact much better
Anyway hopefully u read this and maybe you can try it👍😎🤘👊💥💥💥💥

Man you guys sure have a blast when you play with your rc’s. My new Xmaxx build is gonna be all M2C upgrades with the chassis support bar underneath the truck, and wfo titanium axles and WFO alloy hubs with my 2028 800 with an Xlx2. Gonna run a widemaxx kit to with the WFO extended hubs. How do you have such air control for all your landings? I’m definitely gonna wanna bash and send mine off of big jumps, but am afraid I might destroy it. Also gonna be running PR tuned springs and their mod 1.5 30/35 gears. Your rigs sure haul ass. Can’t wait to have mine built.

After seeing your last vid about the kydex mod on the back i thought i would give it ago and all i can say is that its got to be the best mod to protect the shell and all in under £15 and didnt add much weight to the shell either. Thanks for sharing the mod💪
